Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Continuing Education credits (CEs)"As someone who had taken lactation education training classes before, I thought I wouldn't learn much new information -- I was wrong! Thanks so much!" -- Class participant Most of the professional training programs offered through Center for the Childbearing Year have been approved for Nursing CEs. Any program carrying nursing CEs will count towards DONA doula re-certification requirements. Certified doulas must re-certify with DONA every three years and show evidence of continuing education as part of this process. The University of Michigan Health System's Educational Services for Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. NEW! We are now approved to provide Social Work CEs for specific trainings through the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. Please check out our For Professionals class schedule for current CE approved courses. There is an additional $10 fee, beyond the cost of the training, to process CEs. |
