Our Deluxe Package includes the full-day workshop plus access to four online classes to supplement material presented in class:
- Medical Procedures with the Newborn (Part 3 of our Navigating the Medical Setting class, focuses on informed decision making regarding immediate post-birth care of the newborn. Includes discussions on pros and cons of delayed cord cutting, Vitamin K injection, circumcision, Hepatitis B vaccine, and more.)**
- Breastfeeding Basics (Pretty much an overlap of what will be presented in class, but allows you to review information when you need it. )
- Caring for Your Newborn (Includes information on newborn appearance, newborn reflexes, cord care, newborn jaundice, and more.)**
- Postpartum Emotions & Adjustment Strategies (Differentiate between normal “baby blues” and postpartum depression, and learn a variety of coping strategies to help ease the transition into parenting.)
* Lunch is not included. You can go out for lunch (we are 1 mile west of downtown Ann Arbor) or bring your lunch with you and relax at the Center (we have a refrigerator and microwave available, and outdoor patio seating when the weather is nice).
** This material is presented in our Giving Birth & Caring for Your Newborn six-week childbirth preparation class. You really don’t need the Deluxe Package if you have taken the six-week childbirth preparation class, Giving Birth & Caring for Your Newborn.
