Doula Programs: Publishing Results
In earlier blogs, I have emphasized the importance of doula program administrators publishing on the results of their efforts. G-CAPP (George Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention) has published its first scientific journal article based on the work of their community-based doula program. “Going Beyond the Call of Doula: A Grounded Theory Analysis of the Diverse Roles Community-Based Doulas Play in the Lives of Pregnant and Parenting Adolescent Mothers.” The Journal of Perinatal Education, Fall 2010, Volume 19, Number 4, pp. 24-40.
