Each Wednesday, my blog will highlight the latest news items, research results, consumer alerts, and legislative action alerts of interest to expectant and new parents and the professionals who work in the field of maternal-infant health. Childbirth Connection is building on recent work, including the publication of “2020 Vision for a High-Quality, High-Value Maternity Care System” (presenting a shared view of values, principles and attributes that constitute a high-quality, high-value maternity care system) and “Blueprint for Action” (strategies developed by stakeholder groups to achieve the Vision. Now, they have launched the Transforming Maternity Care Partnership. Through collaborative efforts, the TMC Partnership will take action to help achieve the envisioned high-quality, high value maternity care system.

There are many ways to get involved:

  • Sign on to the Partnership Action Community to show your support.
  • Sign up to receive Partnership email news updates and invitations.
  • Starting in July, participate in a series of webinars on TMC topics featuring guest experts who will provide examples of quality improvement initiatives and discuss ways to enact Blueprint recommendations.
