CCY Business Collective
The Center for the Childbearing Year, located at 722 Brooks Street near downtown Ann Arbor, houses a collective of independent businesses serving childbearing families and support professionals. Together, we have you covered! Social, educational, emotional, and hands-on support. The following programs and services are offered. Center for the Childbearing Year (CCY)
CCY offers educational programs and materials for expectant and new parents, as well as training and certification programs for professionals and aspiring professionals in the field of maternal and infant health. The Breastfeeding Center of Ann Arbor
The Breastfeeding Center of Ann Arbor offers educational programs for expectant and new parents, as well as lactation consultant services on site, training for professionals, support groups for breastfeeding mothers, and a store stocking everything a breastfeeding mother may need, accompanied by expert, individualized service. The Breastfeeding Center also serves as a depot for human breast milk and is affiliated with the Milk Bank at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Doulas Care
Doulas Care is a 501c3 non-profit organization that matches volunteer doulas with low-income women in the community who are in need of support. Lisa Kane Low is the volunteer Executive Director of Doulas Care. Email Lisa
New Moon Midwifery
New Moon Midwifery is a homebirth midwifery practice, with Certified Professional Midwives Amanda Smith and Amanda Topping, and their assistants and apprentices. Prenatal and some postpartum care are provided on site. Email New Moon Midwives
